Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted but cooled slightly
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Nutmeg, for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Blend the Ingredients: Put all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend for 30 seconds.
  • Pour and Sprinkle: Pour the mixture into a 9.5-inch pie plate and sprinkle with nutmeg.
  • Bake: Bake for 45 minutes in the middle of the oven, or until set.
  • Cool and Serve: Allow the pie to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a coconut cream pie variation, add 1 cup of flaked coconut to the mixture before blending.
  • For a lemon cream pie variation, add lemon extract and grated lemon zest.
  • The pie will naturally form its own crust during baking, so there’s no need for a traditional pie crust.
