Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon truffle oil
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking tray or cast iron skillet.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and truffle oil. Set aside.
  3. Roll the pizza dough into golf ball-sized pieces. Flatten each, place a mozzarella cube in the center, and seal tightly into a ball. Place seam-side down on tray.
  4. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden and puffed.
  5. Immediately brush hot puffs with the garlic-truffle butter and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  6. Let cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use cold cheese cubes to reduce leaking.
  • Don’t overfill the dough to avoid bursting.
  • Truffle oil is strong, so use sparingly.
