Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or chives, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon truffle oil
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking tray or cast iron skillet.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and truffle oil. Set aside.
- Roll the pizza dough into golf ball-sized pieces. Flatten each, place a mozzarella cube in the center, and seal tightly into a ball. Place seam-side down on tray.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Immediately brush hot puffs with the garlic-truffle butter and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- Let cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
- Use cold cheese cubes to reduce leaking.
- Don’t overfill the dough to avoid bursting.
- Truffle oil is strong, so use sparingly.
- Can be prepped ahead and stored before baking.
