A warm and crispy turkey melt sandwich layered with sliced turkey, melted cheese, and fresh tomato, toasted to golden perfection and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices sliced bread
  • 170 grams cooked turkey, sliced
  • 2 slices cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat until evenly warm.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice if using.
  3. Lightly butter the outer sides of the bread.
  4. Layer turkey, cheese, and tomato between two slices of bread with buttered sides facing out.
  5. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  6. Cover briefly to fully melt the cheese.
  7. Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Cook over medium heat to avoid burning the bread.
  • Pat tomato slices dry to prevent sogginess.
