This festive iced latte combines rich espresso, homemade strawberry syrup, and a creamy whipped topping for a refreshing, romantic treat. Drizzled with white chocolate and garnished with fresh strawberries, it’s the perfect drink for celebrating Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

For the Strawberry Syrup:
• ½ cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
• 2 tbsp granulated sugar
• ¼ cup hot water
• ½ tsp vanilla extract

For the Latte:
• 1 cup milk (whole, almond, or oat)
• ½ cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, chilled
• ½ cup ice cubes
• ¼ cup heavy cream (for topping)
• 1 tbsp powdered sugar
• Melted white chocolate, for drizzle
• Fresh strawberry slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Syrup:
    • In a small saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and hot water.
    • Simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the strawberries soften and release their juices.
    • Mash slightly, then strain through a fine sieve to remove solids.
    • Stir in vanilla extract and let cool.
  2. Assemble the Latte:
    • In a glass, add ice cubes and pour in the chilled espresso or strong coffee.
    • Pour the milk over the coffee, then drizzle in the homemade strawberry syrup.
    • Stir gently to combine.
  3. Make the Whipped Cream:
    • In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  4. Decorate:
    • Spoon the whipped cream over the latte.
    • Drizzle melted white chocolate over the top.
    • Garnish with fresh strawberry slices for a festive Valentine’s touch.

Notes

  • Use your favorite plant-based milk (like almond or oat) to make this drink dairy-free.
  • If you prefer a sweeter latte, add extra strawberry syrup or sugar to taste.
  • For an extra indulgence, top with more chocolate drizzle or add a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
