- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- a few drops food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together until smooth.
- Whip egg whites until foamy, gradually add granulated sugar and beat to stiff peaks.
- Fold dry ingredients into meringue, add vanilla and food coloring, mix until batter flows smoothly.
- Pipe heart shapes onto baking sheet.
- Let shells rest until dry to the touch.
- Bake for 14 to 16 minutes.
- Cool completely before removing and filling.
