This classic, indulgent fantasy fudge is a holiday favorite that’s as creamy as it is delicious. With a rich combination of chocolate, marshmallow creme, and walnuts, it’s the perfect treat to gift or enjoy with loved ones. Easy to make and perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth!

Ingredients

  • Granulated sugar
  • Margarine (BlueBonnet brand recommended)
  • Evaporated milk
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips (Nestle Toll House brand used)
  • Marshmallow creme (Jet-Puff brand used)
  • Vanilla extract
  • Chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pan: Line a 9×13-inch straight-sided baking pan with parchment paper. Ensure there’s enough parchment paper overhanging the sides for easy removal of the cooled fudge.
  • Cook the Mixture: In a 3-4 quart saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, margarine, and evaporated milk over medium heat. Stir to combine and cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches a rolling boil.
  • Boil the Mixture: Once at a rolling boil, cook the mixture for exactly 5 minutes while stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • Add Chocolate Chips: Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips to the hot mixture and continue stirring until they melt and the fudge becomes smooth.
  • Mix in Marshmallow Creme and Vanilla: Add the marshmallow creme and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth, with no streaks of marshmallow remaining.
  • Add Walnuts: Stir in the chopped walnuts for a crunchy texture.
  • Set the Fudge: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared 9×13 pan, smoothing it into an even layer with a small offset spatula.
  • Cool and Slice: Allow the fudge to cool completely before lifting it out of the pan using the parchment paper. Once cooled, slice into 1×1-inch square pieces.

Notes

  • Be sure to follow the exact boiling times to achieve the right texture for your fudge.
  • Allow the fudge to cool completely to prevent it from being too soft or sticky.
