Scale
For the Filling:
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 lb thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin works well)
1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup onion, diced
1/2 cup mushrooms, diced (optional)
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
For the Breadsticks:
1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Prepare the Filling:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steak slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté the bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms until soft. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Return the steak to the skillet, mix well, and remove from heat. Let it cool slightly.
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
Assemble the Breadsticks:
Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
Cut the dough into 6-8 strips, depending on how big you want your breadsticks.
Place a spoonful of the steak mixture on one half of each strip, then sprinkle with shredded cheese. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
Add Toppings:
Place the stuffed breadsticks on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over the tops of the breadsticks.
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden brown and puffed.
Serve:
Let the breadsticks cool for a few minutes before serving. Pair with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or cheese sauce for dipping, if desired.
Enjoy these cheesy, savory breadsticks packed with Philly cheesesteak flavors!
Notes
You can substitute the mushrooms for other vegetables or omit them if preferred.
For extra cheesiness, add more provolone or mozzarella inside the breadsticks.
