Ingredients
Scale
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 6 ounces smoked salmon
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and olive oil.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir gently.
- Add parmesan cheese, black pepper, and salt. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with smoked salmon and reserved pasta water.
- Toss gently until the sauce coats the pasta evenly.
- Stir in fresh dill and lemon juice.
- Serve immediately with extra dill and parmesan on top.
Notes
- Reserve extra pasta water if the sauce becomes too thick.
- Use freshly grated parmesan for the smoothest sauce texture.
- Add dill at the end for the freshest flavor.
- Taste before adding extra salt because smoked salmon is naturally salty.
