Spicy Miso Glazed Cod

Tender cod fillets glazed with a savory, sweet, and slightly spicy miso sauce, baked to perfection with a caramelized finish.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a saucepan, combine miso paste, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and chili paste.
  3. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  4. Place cod fillets in the dish and coat evenly with glaze.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until fish flakes easily.
  6. Broil for 2 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds and serve.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the fish to keep it tender.
  • Adjust spice level by modifying chili paste.
  • Use fresh cod for best results.
