This Steak Garlic Cheese Bread is a savory, cheesy delight topped with perfectly cooked ribeye steak and caramelized onions. A perfect appetizer or indulgent snack that brings together melted cheese, garlic, and seasoned steak on toasted French bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French bread loaf
  • 1 lb Ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded Asiago cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Provolone cheese slices (for topping)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Cook the steak: In a hot pan, cook the sliced ribeye steak along with the sliced onion and Worcestershire sauce. Stir frequently and cook for a few minutes until the steak is browned and the onions are softened.
  • Prepare the garlic cheese mixture: In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, softened butter, Asiago cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and Italian seasoning. Mix well to form a smooth, cheesy spread.
  • Prepare the French bread: Cut the French bread loaf into thick slices. Spread the garlic cheese mixture evenly on each slice of bread.
  • Assemble the bread: Place the cooked steak and onions on top of the garlic cheese mixture. Then add a slice of provolone cheese on top of each.
  • Season: Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Bake: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the bread slices in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  • Serve: Once golden, remove from the oven and serve hot.
